Berest is Ukrainian ancient family.It goes back to the origins of the Knyajih times (Golden Age of Kyiv (800–1100) - Kievan Rus').

Among my ancestors are Cossacks, farmers, nobleman (Szlachta) and scientists.

At the beginning of the XX-th century, my ancestors lived in the south of Ukraine (the Kherson province).

With the advent Russian communist regime in Ukraine my grandfather was repressed. The family escaped from persecution had moved to the central Ukraine (Dnepropetrovsk region).

Now, my family lives in Kyiv, the capital of Independent Ukraine.
